spend more time with james, it's good for everyone actually

I think that if you post a drumming thing to youtube, it should be great and show that you 'own' it. This is why I don't post videos, I 'own' very little. In other words, if you come up with something, be able to show it who's boss. turn it around, upside down and around. make that groove yours. Also, I find it useful if I can apply a drumming idea to a song, song section or fill at least. it should have context. it cant exist in a vacuum.


so check this out, and listen around 4:20 and understand why clyde drops out and how powerful it is when he is called back in by james. And Bootsy comes after clyde, because clyde is the driver. bootsy just provides the gas. and james is the navigator. its all a concentrated effort. work on this. I do.
