Happy 100th Birthday to Jim Chapin!

Here in Sydney it’s the morning of Tue 23 July 2019: the 100th birthday of the great Jim Chapin!

The time I spent with him in 2002 absolutely changed my life for the better in the most jam-packed way. He was 83 and at the peak of his game. There’s a photo of me with him on my Instagram here that was taken by Dom Famularo about 17 years ago to the day after a very enjoyable dinner at Dom’s. Wild times!

Obviously never met the man, but I'm happy I discovered him and his passion for Moeller as early as I did.

Seems he kept his love of drumming and teaching alive until his last day.
