One of my favorite PG tracks. Love the lines in this one.

Glad you all are liking it.

I've been listening to 'Plays Live' quite a bit recently. Jerry Marotta plays so solid on it, it's not funny. His low, mushy snare just works, both live and in the studio.

His time is freaky solid.

And throwing in the strange twists and turns in his grooves...that is the shit.

It looks like they pieced it together from hundreds of takes.

One hour is not nearly enough time to go into the detail that should be shown...

Wish they would put together a 4hr version...it's fascinating stuff.

Now for something really cool. Peter would run a remix contest from artists in the Real World catalog and provide MP3 or WAV multi-track stems of the tracks to be remixed, for free. He provided 'Games Without Frontiers' and 'Shock the Monkey'. As far as I know, you can still download the tracks just by setting up a free account. It is an educational experience to say the least. There are unused percussion, synth, guitar, bass and vocal stuff in the zip files. Very fun stuff to sit down and listen to.

Enjoy:

I thought the whole "Classic Albums" series was available on DVD. I can't find this one. Is it new? Not available? WTF?
