I think John Good and company will mostly leave Gretsch alone. I think they'd have to understand the long heritage that the company has. But like I said, maybe they could improve the functionality of the drums. I.e. hardware etc.

I'm interested to see if any DW artists change their allegiance to Sabian after the switch in distributor. I wonder if this was a factor in Virgil switching to DW? How was Sabian distributed in the US up to now?
Oh well. I'd rather see Gretsch in the hands of people who know how to grow a business than to fall into drum purgatory forever like Slingerland has. DW makes quality stuff.
Maple/gumwood/maple with roundover edges and no re-rings + inside painted silver = Grestch. Get a router table and you can make Gretsch drums too.
