I hope he's not still smoking. That's a sign of COPD...

Great concert, shame I was looking to hear "One Of Me Is Crazy", I love that song.
You guys heard the studio take of "Rub The Stone" ?
Damn, Vinnie is on fire !!!
He's really the only one who can thing of playing this kind of drumming in studio for a song. He's the only one who does it with so much good taste (in my taste), and for that he's allowed to do what he wants, he's hired for doing what he wants, as much as it's musical.
I always loved that Sembello's song :
And of course the timeless Nik Kershaw's "Work" !!!
Snare drums sounds is gorgeous !!!

Just listened to studio of Rub the Stone...liked the Live version better.
Those hats sounded weird...very thin. Studio bass lines were killer.
VC recreates the studio hat work Live...this song has very unique hat work.
Sembello let Vinnie play out on this one. He goes nuts at the end.
This guy does a great job on Don't Ask Me...one of the greatest intro fills ever
to a pop song or any song for that matter.

Not many videos of Vinnie with Robben Ford...
I think this is the first to me.

Not to harp on about Josh, (I love him - just as I love Vinnie), but I'll put money on the fact that he's doing this next Sting world tour...

That clip was gone pretty fast.
Wouldn't blame Vinnie if he wanted to slow down a bit at his age, but that's really the opposite of what he's been doing these last few years.
Can't really get all that excited about what Sting is doing these days either. He needs to write something in 17... with dynamics..gif)
Getting old and cranky, but this is still the best stuff:
