Simon is amazing of course. I'm friends with Andy Timmons and he's just plain sick - one of top players in the world and a truly wonderful guy. Occasionally he plays a straight ahead gig at this little wine bar in McKinney and it's incredible.

I don't know how he makes money on these tours, the economics can't be good.

Hoping he can make it to the States.

WHOOPS. He is coming to NYC and Boston.

Love me sum Andy Timmons. Thanks to I think Kurtis for turning
on to him. In all honesty, this musical style lacks personality to me.
All blends together. I'm more a rock guy, but that in no way diminishes
my respect and appreciation for the music.

Man still plays 70's double bass...how can you not respect that!

Very interested to hearing the comments on tour financials as mentioned above.

SP plays the Spud...I'm IN!

Money is good ONLY on Tour now, it's alos the only one place where people still buy CD's after the show, show bought by local promotors, really, touring is hard but the money is there.
I come from Tain, Vinnie, Omar, Jeff, Fish, Stewart, and many more...

Simon is very shrewd and knows the ins and outs of the touring business. I'm sure he and the other guys in the band are making good money. He doesn't just do it for the love of it.

So Andie...this statement smacks of you knowing Simon perhaps a littel more than us ;lowly fanboys. Any tales to tell?
