SIMON PHILLIPS - The thread about Simon
Re: SIMON PHILLIPS - The thread about Simon
Hey Morgenthaler, I think that Keith really knows how to hit very hard with constitency.
I come from Tain, Vinnie, Omar, Jeff, Fish, Stewart, and many more...

The first song is just balls out great. The entire concert is great! Toto is going to look and sound a lot different live with KC in the drum chair. Huge, no, UGE shoes to fill. Kind of let down Simon has left Toto. He fit the band so well for so long. His performance on Falling In Between is stellar. Will miss his drum sound with the band. I'm sure the music will fit KC's style. Luke is a great writer. What ever they put out I'm in. Hard to find good music these days.

I have no doubt about Keith being successful with Toto musicaly at least.

Ok. I've never heard him do that in any setting. Have you? I consider him an unbelievably good drummer, with a bouncy, jazzy, funky
feel, and I have a hard time imagining him playing Child's Anthem.

While I wouldn't call that a furious backbeat, it is probably the hardest I've seen him play.

Just consider that it's IMPOSSIBLE to have the gig he gets without hiting hard, constistency and great timing, that's the base of an US drummer, more than anywhere else.
