I've seen this little guy around and he definetly belongs to one of the 10 families or so that live along the road down to our boathouse where my practice space is.
His injury doesn't make much sense. Fatal concussion. Almost like someone just slammed his head into a wall or something. These people shouldn't have a cat anyway and the extra sad part is that I'd be happy to take him.

Generally trying to take a break from the drums this month.

Stunning!
Re: Quarantine Chatty!
Ordered today : 16" MacBook Pro, Yamaha EAD10, Zoom Q2n-4K.
Pretty excited to try and up my game in the digital world since in-person teaching and gigging won't be happening anytime soon. I've been watching some top players go through the process of trying to get their streaming and recording stuff together and it's been pretty inspiring. We all need to take the leap and adapt, so here's to that!
My plan is to eventually get a mixer/interface so I can capture in room audio with the Zoom and mix in the EAD10 in real time. From there some sound maintenance in the basement and then eventually some actual mics and stuff.
Looking forward to getting creative with this great gear!

the tune goodbye is one of the slickest Vinnie performance's ever. Sky Blue is a must have. Rodge will agree.

Re: Quarantine Chatty!
Weather's shifting, so taking a break from hiking.
It's three weeks until I start the main portion of political activity this year. Still nothing extreme at this point, but slowly building it up. I'll be putting in a bit of practice time today and just get going with cutting down to a 4-piece now. It's more practical and I also just feel like it today.
To make sure weather won't interfere, I just ordered one of these things.

Should have gotten one a long time ago. Not just to keep my drums dry, but at 3x4,5m it's a great tailgating accessory. I can get my whole car in there and shield it from the sun or just have it on one side to have somewhere to move about, cook etc.. when it's raining. Pretty much the cheapest quality, that's all I can afford, but it should do the job.
Experimenting today with some very traditional camping food. Cod and bison tallow. I'll pick up some reindeer today and get started with the pemmican.

Not the greatest culinary experience, but it does what it's supposed to very well.

Not sure I could do that Odd...cod and fat. I'm sure it's hearty and keeps ya warm.
RIP Jamie Oldaker, learned a lot playing along to the radio, and Clapton was a mainstay. Helluva groove and sound, and creative.
