The tune Silver Temple is killer.

I absolutely agree... Love the transition @42:31 and the snare-tom-ride pattern starting @42:38... is killer!!

This one below could be the first CCEB live gig.. It says it's 1987 which is impossible.. He was still playing Sabian cymbals on this.. so could be late 1985 early 1986? This version does not have "Silver Temple" though..

I remember first seeing that Maintenance Shop vid on ARTS or A&E or whatever that station was called...they had Tower of Power too, but I didn't get how difficult was David Garbaldi playing, I thought it was kinda simple, but still really cool. Maybe it was his laconic style.

But the Chick vid was videotaped and watched repeatedly...and Dave's playing I knew was difficult.

I really liked that solo! It was more aggressive than I seen him do in the past. Sometimes it's tap tap tap - smooth as hell but light. He put a little ummph in that one...a great combination of his great smooth doubles and "put your ass into it"! Loved it.
