I also have a Hitmaker - 5x14. It's a great drum, I prefer it to my late 70s Ludwig Black Beauty. It has a really fat, focused, low fundamental to it. Great for recording and live - definitely the loudest drum I've ever had... Wide tuning range, a real working man's drum - nice, simple Taye throw...
