That's absolutely awesome but it definitely seems uncomfortably loud...it may be that room but I've never been there....

Watched it on the iPad, audio is dreadfull. I fully understand why he hates these vids. Besides that, I like Weckl better with Oz Noy. Weckl and Noy are a perfect match imho.

I agree 100%.
Noy brings out the very best in Weckl.

That was shot at Catalina's in Holywood. They played a gig there then went into the studio to record Fuzzy. That ride wash kinda kills the vid.
Wek with Oz is a great combo.

I was at that show. Catalina's is hit or miss (mostly miss) with sound, but that video was recorded off the side of the stage where there is nothing but stage sound. I was sitting further from the stage and it sounded okay, but not great. I saw Noy there again more recently and I sat closer and the sound was better. Saw Simon there last night, and the sound was decent (though the room was 3/4 empty).

That gig was a great example of drummers controlling/caring about their sound. Weckl is a scientist with his live sound. I think Vinnie *maybe* had a couple of overheads and a kick. Maybe. I think good quality audio from that whole show is floating around (the Vinnie show).
it was still a bad ass show!

It's not that bad with headphones, damn Vinnie, what an animal !!!
That boy can read a lil' uh...
Keith does also a good job with Oz, but I think also that he's the drummer who play the most with him too, that's why there is that chemistry, and Keith knows that kind of shit already from his work with Wayne Krantz who must be Oz's spiritual father, you know what I mean.

I found Some better audio with no video on youtube from that show and the band sounds more together. The crowd cheers on Vinnies fast and furious runs like they're watching some sports game. Oz gives a cart blanche and gets run over by a freight train. Stellar playing, out of this world intelligent rhythmical ideas and evertyhing flawless executed. That' s a Vinnie show. .gif)

At times Vinnie's genius goes right over my head...
IMO Weckl's version of Just Groove Me is so much more dynamic & tastey and solo fits betta - VC stuff was too over the top for me...
