It shouldn't have been written in 4/4 with all the polyrhythms. It should be written in 5/4, or 10/8.
I understand why he wrote it that way, but that's not the way it's being performed.
Sure, that a valid point, even though Virgil often makes a point out of having 4/4 being the backbone
even if he's exploring patterns in 5 all through a piece.
