I saw Toto in Durham, on June 6. It was eerie how much Shannon played and sounded like Jeff - From how he moved his head, to how he played the ride cymbal, and the overall feel of the groove. I think Toto has definitely found the right guy going forward.

How was the mix at other shows? At our show, the sound was way too boomy, and Luke's guitar was kind of drowned out - definitely not front and center like it should have been.

Cool to see Lenny Castro out with them, as well.

Joseph sounds a lot better to, too. More used to big stages I guess and keeping things realistic in regards to things he can still do. Think we can blame the audience for a lot of the out of key backing vocals in the vids.

Shannon and Lee sounding like Jeff and Mike at their best. They got the feel of that stuff down, fo sho.

Simon was great, had his own thing, made the second most memorable drum intro after 50 Ways, but the shuffle and west coast thing was never quite there.

May have to rethink if I shouldn't invest in this little trip down memory lane.





Thinking they would call it quits soon, but this is sounding the best they have in a long time.
