I think if I could be another drummer, it would be Frank...
can't explain...there is something about this guy that speaks to me
in every way. So underrated...I LOVE this;

Frank filmed a Drumeo segment last year - I wonder when it gets released.

I have this track with Vinnie blowing on it !!!
It sounds like the way Vinnie used to write music ?

Not sure of the exact dates (they appear to be as of around Oct '17 based on the comments) but they've currently got two lessons up with Frank: "Building a Musical Vocabulary" and "Interview with Frank Briggs". Both are about an hour long.

@ 1:53: sorry, but this caught my attention...1928 tom tom clearly stamped,
"Made in China"...really? Wow...OK. That threw me...modern drumset
I thought was Western invention, but manufacturing even then was
from China? Imported the "tom tom" to complete the set by Ludwig?
Thay need a drum historian to go through this find...love to hear the story
on all of those items! How cymbal quality differs from today, go inside that
snare--metal used, etc. This is reality TV worth viewing!
Some nice close up and story here;

That wasn't a modern drum set. It was a bunch of contraptions.
The tunable tom-tom didn't show up for a few years.
