Re: VINNIE - The thread about Colaiuta
A friend of mine told me to listen to the latest podcast, from Bill Burr. I don't listen to much of him, but if you like him (or not, I guess), I would suggest you pull it up, go to about eight minutes in and listen to the show review...dropped a certain name!....>;)
Edit- Language is NSFW!...as Rodge mentions, he's an excessive swearer....just kinda cool that a popular American comedian knows of the Man.

Bill Burr is actually very smart. If you're a fan of Breaking Bad, he had a small role
in that show. He doesn't always 'swear' at that level, but a lot of comics in a
conversational role do swear A LOT! Add the east coast vibe and it is F-bombs
like an AK-47 at a shooting range. This is rare drum love from a non-musician...
can't recall someone going off like this on a drummer. If he started to talk about
Vinnie's drum set history I would really be impressed.

Unfortunately, I don't share a bloodline with Bill, Raymond or Aaron.

It's my understanding that Bill takes the occasional lesson from Dave Elitch.
Bill talks about drums pretty often on his podcast. He even did an episode of I'd Hit That:
