Hard to overstate how awesome and special Ralph was. Drummer/Percussionist/Producer/Composer and a great human being. The drumming world and the music world in general lost a great, under-appreciated man in Mr. MacDonald.

Oh, man! I am gutted. I can't tell you how
many times I saw them, together. See and
hear the rhythmic composition of both of
them. I know Steve is heartbroken.
As a matter of fact, it was The Ralph
MacDonald Band that I saw that night -
after the Broady's show, which was the
FIRST time I saw Steve.
Ralph was the consummate player and
sooooooooooooo musical.
Man. RIP, Ralph. RIP.
