When i heard this solo on the podcast i needed to know who this cat was. Such loose and free phasing. Been listening to this solo all day. it's the filthiest dirtiest solo.

Yes, Frankie is swinging. If Vinnie digs Frankie, I need to run this one by Vinnie soon. This chorus by Philly Joe, ((w/ Monk)) IMO,
is THE MOST swingin'est. He uses rudiments in this solo--it's also a very slow tempo but to me
is the ultimate in using space, swing, syncopation, groove and feel. LET'S COOL ONE

I love this Dog Cheese bootleg. Has anyone got a good copy of it? I used to have a third rate copy of it on cassette a few years ago, but I can't find it.
