A while back on this thread I moaned that the Ten Summoner's Tales doc was wasted opportunity, as they filmed them actually recording the songs but then dubbed the sound from the album.
Well, bizarrely, on the full version (as opposed to the separate Seven Days only version floating around), Seven Days is alone in actually being a full take of the song, with audio and video matching up, and it's not the version they use on the album! (It just doesn't quite flow enough, I think.) How cool is that? If only all the tunes had been proper alternate / actual takes - never mind.
It's great, anyhow - head to 23 minutes in:
He has his ride HIGH! And when he ornaments the hihat part, he gets very quickly with his left hand from the hats to a perfect solid cross-stick sound...
