My John Mayer Trio tribute band

Postby robertopeland » Wed Jan 11, 2012 6:45 am

Hi guys,
I would love if you could check out the first track of the demo that I did with my John Mayer Trio tribute band, named The Vultures.
Four tracks played live (without vocals ) in a single six-hour session.
Vocals were added later.
The tune is Wait Until Tomorrow (mp3 320k), you can listen to it or download it for free, check it out if you want:

Cymbals: Zildjian 15" Fast Crash, Dream Cymbals Bliss Series: 20 Ride, 20 Crash/Ride, 18" Crash Ride...

Dang...if you posted this as a JM tune I would not have blinked an eye.

The vocals are slightly off, but this is a cover band right...

The guitar sound is dead on and your drum sound excellent!
GREAT playing!!!

Here's the third track of four.
It's Crossroads, recorded with a custom 10"x5.5" maple snare and a 10" Meinl Classic Mini Hi-hat:

Thanks a lot Randy!!!
How are you brò?
Sooner or later I will be back in L.A. and the first thing I want is to meet you again and give you an enormous hug...
Tomorrow I will post the 4th and final track, after that, I will stop to bother all of you guys... ;-)
On January 19th I will play here in Rome with Bryan Baker (guitar player for Steps Ahead, Black Baptista...), I hope to get some video and post it here.

Peace
