Chris Coleman solo explained

Postby joecrabtree » Sun Jan 15, 2012 12:31 pm

Hey everyone,

I spent most of my christmas figuring out this Chris Coleman solo (starts at 9:30)...

and creating a new SoloWorkshop...

The workshop is in 3 parts (part 1 is up already). They're very in-depth i.e. even if you think this kind of thing might be beyond your capability you'll have no trouble understanding what's going on.

When I started the project I had no idea if I'd be able to play the entire thing. It was quite a close call actually - took a lot of practice to get it down and I still struggled a little. I learned loads of cool stuff from analysing Chris's playing though... new licks and concepts, etc.

It's up on my site in the MasterClass.

Cheers,
Joe

I love his playing. Absolute monster. I don't like his sound in those clips, but I would love to pick up some music that he's played on. Recommendations anyone?

I believe he plays with Isreal and the New Breed.
