HR57 tonight

Postby NatAguilar » Thu Jan 26, 2012 8:11 am

Hey DC drummers out there, I'm going to HR-57 tonight for the open jam, wanted to see if you anyone wants to come.
p.s. I went to the capital bop jazz loft last saturday and I was very impressed by one of the groups, Kriss Funn and the Corner Store (Kriss is the bassist for Christian Scott). Sorry I don't have the drummer's name, but here is a clip. This was also one of my favorite songs they did, I think its a Sam Cook song.

So souful!

Nick, were you there?
Peace!

No, I was not.

That would be Quincy Phillips.

Sounds good, Jim, it was pretty fun last night. Towards the end the sax player Elija Balbed came out with his bass player and piano player, it was pretty fun.
Songs I got to play with a variety of musicians; moments notice, sidewinder, just a closer walk with thee. Loved it!
