Hi guys!
Here's just me doing a little cover of Donald Fagen's "Green Flower Street", which as a lot of you probably know has the great Jeff Porcaro on the original recording.
I just tried to keep the groove going, with that rather fast hi-hat pattern keeping the groove constant.
I am, a bit like Steve I guess, just messing with recording myself and constantly trying to make it sound better.I kinda like to play along to some tracks, and try to make it blend as good as i can.

I really dug it man. You played great & it seemed to really lock in with the original track. Great work Sturla!
What mic are you rocking on the hats there?
Excellent song choice too!

Thank you, man!
That hi-hat mic is a Oktava MK-012 cardiod condenser. Quite a bargain for the price, actually.

Very strong playing dude. I am especially diggin the snare sound. How are your heads tuned in relation to each other? Tight bottom/loose top? vice versa?

Sturla,
Fantastic playing, man! That's not the easiest groove to hold together. Great job! Glad to finally hear this, as I subscribe to your YouTube videos and this one kept getting removed.

Thanks guys! The snare is an mid 90´s Tama Starclassic Maple 14"x6,5" snare, and yeah, you are correct it is a quite medium/loose tensioned batter head, and quite a bit tighter snare side head. Quite unusual tuning for me, but I sometimes like to do that - for a change. And as you can see, I have taped the batter side head quite a bit. Sometimes I like a more mellower muffled sound (did I say that out loud?? hehe)
Clint - Yeah, I tried posting it up on Youtube first, but due to copyright issues it didn´t go through.
