Roth can't sing anymore. He has no range or power. You can even hear it in his speaking voice. I don't remember what exactly happened but I know it was obvious his voice was ruined on this solo album. I bet he had some kind of surgery and he's never been the same since. Every time he tries to sing in his upper register his voice cracks and sounds wimpy.

Well, he's also well into his fifties now. I don't know of many who sing like they could when they were 20 years old. Geddy Lee? Sounds great these days, but in a much lower register. Age takes its toll!

Geddy still sounds alright. Bono is still decent. Bowie was great last album/tour. Sting can almost do it . Peter Gabriel is still good. Age gets everyone eventually but Roth sounds pathetic. I think some guys just can't do it anymore and should call it quits. Bowie/Bruford/Phil Collins all retired. Abba were offered a bazillion dollars to tour again and they said No because they know they can't do it anymore and would disappoint their fans. I hope it's fun for those guys to still get onstage and do their thing but at some point you should realize you simply can't do it anymore. I don't understand how Roth can even think he's doing a decent job.

They're not the same even with Dave. Hahaha.

Anyway, enough of that. Great band. Alex seems as good or maybe even better than ever.
