Hi guys. I was just watching a video of Gavin and wanted to figure out a cool exercise he demonstrates. I've jotted it down. I hope I explain this reasonably clearly, lol. So, he plays paradiddles on hands and feet, with the feet paradiddles that seem to consistently shift along intervals of every three across the flow of the hand sixteenths, effectively two different tempos of paradiddle played simultaneously. Each half cycle of feet paradiddles (just the rlrr or just the lrll) I've grouped with three lots of hand sixteenths either side of the vertical broken line. Is it correct?
Starting at 1:14, he first seems to demonstrate the feet with all bass drum (replacing my hihat in first half with another bass drum), then all hihat (replacing my bass drum in second half with another hihat), then he plays the full feet paradiddle.
