Can't believe I only came across Snarky Puppy last night. Was checking out some Nat Townsley videos, then found one of him playing in a trio with this bass player Michael League. Checked out Michael League and discovered Snarky Puppy. Best thing I've heard since electro deluxe big band, but even better.

These ones are absolutely stonking!

Awesome 7/8 piece

I love this band I just shipped my backline Absolute Hybrid Maple to New Orleans for Larnell to use on the latest record and DVD. From the guest list on the record it should be awesome.

Love it, simple playing brings everything out. Solid groove, Nick Mason-ish.

Another Sput gem! This guy is simply amazing. Much as I love Larnell's drumming, there's just something about Sput's playing that does it even more for me.

Wow... Go to 1:32:55... This bass & drums duo kills... If Larnell's drum-solo that follows doesn't impact/touch you (I actually had tears in my eyes, not kidding), I suspect that you may be getting a sad case of HSC  "HOD-Snub-Constipation". :D
I too suffer from the HSC disease every-now-and-then, listening to myself play fights it off pretty fast usually !! LOL! :D

Regardless of how skilled people are it's quite possible to be something other than someone's personal tastes.

I like some of this stuff, but to me the sound of the band is a little too close to something I got feed plenty in the 90s.

When TOP came with Rhythm & Business, apart from the lead guitar tone being less than inspiring, the dry and simple production was a welcome change for me.
