What an amazing band. I've gotta catch this band live. How long has this guy been with the band? He sounds great.

He started subbing into the band in 2012.

It looks like their older drummer is still with the band. He is very good also.

Yeah, no dig on this guy but I was a little disappointed with the performance thinking it was Sput. That explains the Yamaha drums and Zildjians though....

Went to see Larnell play with the Mike Downes Quartet tonight.. Robi Botos - piano, Ted Quinlan - Guitar... Really, really, I mean.. REALLY good. Amazing touch... He made every surface "sing" for lack of a better term... The joy on each band member's face said it all. His ability to "lift" the music impacted me tonight and that's what it's all about for me. Swing, Groove, Pocket, Sensitivity, Chops.. Larnell's got it all.
