Most stores don't carry what I like but it's the HD9 Vic Firth. On a whim I bought a 4 pack of Vater 5b's at GC on sale and used them for a modern rock gig last night. Pretty good. For modern rock I would usually use Pro=Mark 5Bn.

+1 for the vic firth 55A. Good control, good balance with a good weight and my new fav after using the vc stick for 7 years.

For quiter jazz I like the VF AJ5 stick. But, for everything else, it's the VF PE Ride stick.
