Some decent shredding, including a surprisingly welcome saxophone, about two thirds into the song, and a drum solo to conclude it as well:

The Planet X Anthology is out. The remaster (by Simon Phillips) did nothing really for the live album, which was too poorly recorded to begin with IMO, nor the Moonbabies album, which was simply perfect to begin with. But both the Universe and Quantum albums respectively, have gained from the remastering. It’s a really nice package all in all.

Virgil is absolutely on fire in these clips from this week. (He will be 65 next week)

A bit of 11/8 adventure, some 'The Quiet Place' off of Ruination, and Non Brewed Condiment with fellow genius Chris Clark on the side:

Someone posted this on DW, and it was posted on YT a few days ago...... I'm not a DT-fan.... But this was freakin amazing.

Yeah, I’d only ever heard of these double shows where On The Virg turned the house and played the last part of some shows as ‘Theatre of Dreams’.

I remember the DT “audition” videos, and Jordan Rudess commenting to Virgil: “I can tell you eat this stuff for lunch”.

He did. In 1995. I am really glad Virgil didn’t get that spot in DT. What he has produced in these past 12 years is some of his best material, ever.

Virg' is way too good for DT, way too creative too.
I thought Thomas Lang was also too good for them, him and Virg' have strong personalities.
I come from Tain, Vinnie, Omar, Jeff, Fish, Stewart, and many more...
