One of the few who get a big, muscled crack on the snare playing traditional. Such an identifiable sound.

Agreed...first, cat is FIFTY SEVEN...that in itself is SICK...this isn't
playing a soft ride pattern at a garden party type gig...this is Mount
Olympus athletic drumming. His connection with this bass player
and the simplicity of three players...Virg can work this for a long time.
I'd LOVE to see him hit the college campus circuit with a 60 min set
and Q&A...he'll stay fresh and educate and blow young minds...and at
the end say, "Oh yeah...I'm fifty freakin seven kids!"

and now, the before at 37 yo...



Posted before??? Worth a second look...I think I was at this show with the new Pearls
