Some drumcam clips from the recent UK (the band) tour.

From 1:25ish to 5:00ish there's some real drum porn. Not anything you haven't seen before, if you're keen on Virgil,
but still some mad execution and energy output in there (plus some failing equipment)

I had no idea they were called "social media moderators"

I recorded Virg playing at a Soul Circus show. I asked him first. He said cool. Did i ask him to post it online? No. Did i post it online? No.
If i wanted to post it online, the only common courtesy would be to ask him. Anytime i video an artist, i always let them know if the footage is good, i will send it to them. Of course i have never sent any footage cause it is always lacking in quality.
Good for Virgil. Keeping it real.

I'm not sure what you are saying here. I am that guy btw. I think Virgil and I labelled it 'Community Manager' last I checked (see the liner notes of In This Life), but
titles in Social Media actually take many (absurd) twists and turns.

I have strong views on this - being educated in language science and believing job titles in social media and in general are
about 85% BS. I somehow spawned a blog post on the topic the other day: http://www.falconsocial.com/blog/indust ... job-title/

I deal with all of those inconsiderate or uneducated people who are posting tons of stuff of Virgil's. The other day it was his entire catalog of Premium Membership Online Classes.
When I have the time I still debate these guys on the ecosystem of artists and consumers, but most of the time, I flag it for YouTube, who then takes it down.
Just yesterday a guy was seriously bitching about it, because, as it turned out, the video ALSO contained som of his own stuff that he hadn't backed up elsewhere.

I facepalmed and had to leave him to his rage. Not sure he understood why he was in the wrong, really.
Some are genuinely apologetic but most are - as I said - uneducated and/or inconsiderate. They don't give a fuck, until their videos are taken down and (in severe cases)
YouTube decides to delete their channel.

On a WHOLE other note:

The way I see it, Virg is one of the guys who delivers the most on a consistent basis in terms of video material. Even more quality one. Having soent q good chunk of the late 90's and first 00's in search if material by him, to have him upload stuff from his Holdsworth concerts is just too good.
Also, the Premium section is rather cheap for the ammount of useful information it gives you access to. But hey, people are still willing to hack an iPhone to be able to a kid paying a couple bucks for an app, so what do I know...
