Soundcloud is Myspace of today. I've uploaded some stuff recently only to realise that it can't be played every so often because of some errors. We already have YouTube and Facebook...

Yeah, hmm, that's annoying. Perhaps it works, just putting in the link without the embed helper tags

Virg has nine drum lives...out of nowhere he is in a new band!

That IceFish LP cover is AWESOME! Covers MATTER!
I LIKE it! Has an updated On the Virg feel to me...
Virg locks down into groove mode being a band drummer
which I like! This is a band that does not require super chops
where composition is far more important...it is always
important...strong vocals especially on Paralyzed.

When I listen to a band like this, the snare sound is most important.
Could I listen to a song many times? Certain snares are great the first listen
but get old after...this snare allows for repeated listening.

Then hats...same...they are nice and "fluffy"--unless I am listening
with headphones, BD and cymbals don't count as much. Toms are
a little flat to me.

I noticed very little double bass drumming here.

I would think this band can tour and the vocals allow for a more
diverse audience (females)...it is dare I say POP progressive
with some melodic choruses which I dig.

Very groove oriented...the first tune and It Begins has the On The Virg
keyboard sound to me.

You say you like it. Have you purchased the music yet? If not, what does it take before you will actually hand over money for music?

Music ownership matters

"I note that generations began adopting music as their cohort's identity
immediately after the rise of recordings. The 1920s were called the Jazz
Age. The late 1930s became the Swing Era, and in the 1940s people started
talking about the Big Band Era. The 1960s was the Age of Woodstock. That
doesn't happen anymore. It's now the Digital Age or Post-Truth Era or
whatever, but music no longer defines demographics the way it did back when
people bought albums."

"the internet brings with it the potential for cultural destruction on a
scale previously unfathomable. Do you want to trust the preservation of
music to Apple and Google? Do you think they value it the same way you do?"

The new Icefish stuff is ok. Can’t get past the keyboard sounds. Tad annoying. Song writing isn’t my cup of tea. Maybe after another listen of the samples. Heard some samples of the band Sons Of Apollo , I know it’s Portnoy, and sounds pretty good. Desperate for some Prog Rock that’s in my wheel house.

That's funny, I really (really) dig the keyboard sounds. If I had anything to complain about, it'd be the vocals (the accent) and perhaps the mis-representation of Virgil's snare. He's got such an emphatic backbeat and it's a shame it's rarely shown in the mix.

But I really like the keys. Alex is a monster and the edgy production does it for me. Same goes for Marcos' guitars :)
