Did you honestly think it would be even remotely possible that it wasn't posted here the SECOND it was online?

Paiste remends me of Penn tennis balls. "Paiste, you've heard one, you've heard them all."

If you' referring to the same model, then yes, they are very consistent. But unless you've played/heard every line, you really don't know Paiste.

The 'interview' or monologue came across somewhat awkward or uncomfortable to me. Vinnie is no monster at marketing bs, good for him.

That's true! I don't know Paiste other than how consistent/homoginized their cymbals sound to me. Not that that's a bad thing. I like the process of trying out 3 cymbals from the same line, with the same specs, and hearing 3 completely different instruments. Hahaha!

Habit? Comfort zone? Hahaha! I'm just being a bit facetious. But, I don't think I could just pick a cymbal off the rack and buy it, even if I liked the way it sounded. I don't trust my own ear that much. I'd still have to bring in my own cymbal to compare it to, try out a bunch and listen for differences.
PS: But, that Vinnie T-Shirt is compelling! I'm probably gonna have to by at least ONE Paiste cymbal now. I need a new crash. Something bigger and darker than the 16" Avedis Z's I've got now. I'd like something that has character when hit softly, but, doesn't sustain forever, and doesn't max out too easily when ripped. What do you think?
