Earplugs

Postby Julián Fernández » Thu May 10, 2012 11:56 pm

Hey guys...

I´ve been playing some outdoors gigs with little to none soundcheck (so inears are not really an option)...
Is there any earplug on the market that wont sound "fake" as most one do..? Something that cuts somehow similar on the whole spectrum...

Heard good things about these 2:

Any commentS? Thanks!

I was looking for something cheaper and quicker than custom molds (that I´ll eventually get)

You need to get the custom molded plugs. Anything else will just piss you off. Trust me.

I agree with these guys. If you wanna try these ones you mentioned though, get'em and see if it works for you. Personally, the ER20's are little better than normal plugs....i remember it was cheap too... 10-20 dollars...
I much prefer isolation headphones, but one thing you could do is, if you wanna go custom, get the FUTURE SONIC ATRIO's. 169 bucks delivered to your door....they sound AMAZING AND you can later on order custom
plugs.

Any kind of 'christmas tree' style plug will pretty much do the same job. Some like the Ety's have some nice filters built in and do a a little better job.

Nothing will beat the custom molded ones. I got the Elacin ER9, works for me. Takes out the most irritating high frequencies, but I don't lose too much of dynamics.
