Want it really bad. The music created on that kit is god like. Live and studio. It will go for like 20 G's +

If I had piles of cash lying around I'd buy that thing in a HEARTBEAT. I can't count the THOUSANDS of hours of my formative years that were spent listening to that kit. It would be the ultimate trophy for me to actually own it.

<sigh>

14 drums, in probably awesome condition with gold hardware.. even if it wasn't Neil's kit that would probably fetch well over $5,000.

Being Neil's kit, some collector who doesn't even play drums will probably buy it haha says 9,500 with 5 bids right now

I'd rather have the rosewood Tamas he played on ESL.

That's the PW/MP kit.

I love them both. This is the one from the Distant Early Warning video, which to me is the coolest kit seen on film. Ever.

I agree that it will go for much more than they are estimating.

Time will tell how bad the rough economy will impact the final price. It originaly sold for over 26 large. I'm thinking it won't go near that much.

I'd like to see a museum or Hard Rock get it so we can ALL get to go see it somewhere.

Likely, it will be bought by some rich guy and will sit in his house and that'll be it.

We'll never get to see or touch it.

*sigh*

I was seriously thinking about putting a bid in. Someone died and left me scratch. But that will pay for car payments and credit card debit. It should go to the purchase of this kit. Wives.

:)

I'm sure you're not they only one that would have a more than grouchy wife if you were to bid. ;)

Just saw this. Check out what's on the auction site...

*I agree to pay a buyers premium of 20% on lots over $100,000 and 25% on lots $0-$99,999, which will be added to the final hammer price for each lot. All lots won online will be charged an additional 3% buyer premium."

link

Yikes!

28% is a hefty tax on $10,000 or $15,000!
