thanks Steve perfect show -
Re: Vids from the last Altered gig.
Every time I watch you guys play, I become mesmerized by your bassist's pinky finger.
It must be exceptionally strong!
It seems like he should have a nickname reflective of that, but I won't offer up any suggestions, at the risk of offending anyone...

Thanks a lot Steve!
Re: Vids from the last Altered gig.
There is a big difference in your playing with the band this time around. Some different ideas and nice flowing hands. Looks like the shed is paying off. The other two guys seem to lack enthusiasm. You are overpowering them in the playing department. Maybe they need to turn it up. Thanks for posting.

Interesting observation. A trip to L.A. is 460 miles round trip for me. If I wasn't enthusiastic about playing with Jeff and
Steve I sure the hell wouldn't put myself through that.

Someone stole my Freebird line? That's just lame, man. Ha! Great playin all the way around, John.
“Let's try some of my songs.” Dave Grohl, top sign drummer will be fired.

... actually, I did come up with one, to compliment his soaring, gliding bass playing:
"Wing Tip!"

I have to be honest, I have felt the same watching Altered...
That said, different personalities express themselves in different ways.
Not everyone is a Keith Moon...you need an Entwistle to balance the
energy flow. He looked bored at times w/t Who...just his personality...
more a phlegmatic type.

Altered's music isn't so much about emotion IMO. It's more cerebral, so I'm not surprised by the lack of showmanship or what have you. That being said, I quite enjoy all of the tunes. Monster players with serious phrasing and interplay. Steve, your solo on Diggin Out is amazing and a study unto itself. You need to be auditioning for the big gigs, man. Great inspiration!
