I sure hope everyone is safe amd healthy!!!

I heard in an interview that John Scofield asked Dennis to play a Go Go beat....

... Great multi-part documentary on Washington DC's Go Go genre below.. Very educational...

... So Dennis & Gary Grainger's Go Go Jazz Fusion interpretation resulted in the "Blue Matter" track... Fascinating how different genres do influence the next...

Speaking of Gogo beats, Stanton Moore did a video about it, it's on Youtube, the community from DC was really not happy about it, check out the comment section.... :)

On November 20th, Oz Noy is releasing Snapdragon. Just like last year's Booga Looga Loo, this album has contributions from some excellent rhythm sections. Dennis Chambers and Will Lee are featured on "Looni Tooni" and a cover of The Zombies' "She's Not There". Dave Weckl and James Genus are on the tracks "Boom, Boo, Boom", "Groovin' Grant" and Thelonious Monk's "Evidence". Vinnie Colaiuta and Lee are on "Tired But Wired" - while Colaiuta and John Patitucci team up again on "Outer Look", "Snapdragon" and Thelonious Monk's "Bemsha Swing".

Hey Steve H watch 14:40-15:04! I remember sitting next to you in the front row at MI P100 and watching DC's clinic. 1994 so we saw this clinic tour. We jumped out of our seats and started freakin out. The power in his singles is unmatched. He's the king. 1994 DC

Imagine were it Dennis on the original Heavy Metal Bebop instead of Terry. Terry's playing was great, but Dennis runs that shit hard. Damn.

DC always said that he was inspired a lot by "Heavy Metal Be-Bop", I like it that way, with mighty Terry. ;-)
