Tell donald sterling that. He could have used that advise a few months ago. People gots to realize that any recording on digital format can be distributed to the masses in seconds or sooner.

The "pipe" doesn't go "into" the tom. It goes into a bracket that then attaches to the tom at four points/lugs. It's not aesthetically beautiful (to me), but it works well. No need to go postal about it though. Pretty much every drum manufacturer's tom mounting system is abysmal.

Going postal is my job...I'm a drummer. I just think attaching a drum to a pipe is archaic.

All this fuss over tom mounts- HOLY FUCK DENNIS LOOKS LIKE A DIFFERENT HUMAN!

(I hate the way they look, but those Pearl mounts do the job!)

If he can still bring the pain to the kit, then good for him.

I could never get a good position with Pearl mounts. If I had a rack, perhaps. They are in one spot on the BD, no movement fore and aft. That's a PITA.
