We gotta a lil' surprise for ya tonite, we gonna turn the microphone ova to Ace Frehley...
Shock me was my little spotlight. However I should not be Ace in that band. For better or worse I'm the least bad singer, so I sing most of the tunes. And I'm not the best soloist so we spilt the solos 50/50. The guy who does Paul is totally Ace with his slouch attitude, while I'm running all over the place.
But I had the childish desire to be the Spaceman...
Love Gun was the very 1st record I bought when it came out in summer '77, I was 10. And Ace was my favourite. Funny thing, my dad wouldn't let me keep the record because of the sleeve with all thse nude girls at their feet: "You got to find another band!". But I liked the record so much that I asked a friend for a sleeve exchange. He gave me Styx Grand Illusion to put my Kiss record in, my father didn't notice and we were both happy!
