Listen to this bootleg...incredible!
[drum solo starts at 6:19]

YouTube description:

Wayne Krantz, Lincoln Goines, Zach Danziger; live at 55 Bar NYC August 1993. NICE drum solo! This tune stayed in the set well into the Lefebvre / Carlock years, and is one of only two 6/8 tunes I've ever heard them play, yet isn't on any album (or mp3, to my knowledge).

Wayne Krantz - Shirts Off

YouTube description:

Wayne Krantz, Lincoln Goines, Zach Danziger; live at 55 Bar NYC August 1993. I don't know the exact date but I'm told it was this lineup's first gig, around the time of the Long To Be Loose sessions. Different parts and arrangement than the 2 Drink Minimum version of "Shirts Off".

These 1993 bootlegs are great - I'm so glad I got to see Zach with Krantz once at 55 Bar on a trip to NYC in summer of 1995. Spoke to Zach on the break and he said that he was actually subbing back on the gig that particular night. He had stopped doing it regularly at that point I think because of some out of town gigs he was on (Michel Camilo). Wayne's drummer during that time was Rocky Bryant. Also, that night, Tim Lefebvre was already doing the gig.

I personally miss the sound and vibe of the trio with Zach and Lincoln Goines - it took a whole other turn with Carlock and Lefebvre.

Wayne Krantz should give them a call and record with Zach and Lincoln Goines again...that would be incredible.
