New Karizma album out

Postby thewikiman » Tue Oct 23, 2012 6:19 am

There's a new Karizma triple CD out (http://www.abstractlogix.com/xcart/prod ... ctid=25679) and I've just had a listen on Spotify - it's actually not as offensive as most keyboard-led fusion, and much of it is a lot more listenable than Document. The 3rd CD has unreleased demos and live tracks, which is nice, including stuff that apparently goes way back to the 70s. Jeff Pocaro is on some of it, as is Carlos Vega.

I wonder if this is the first Vinnie recording on Ludwigs and Paistes..?

Also on Spotify is Rainmaker by Lothar Kosse, another 2012 release, guitar trio with Vinnie on it - nice relaxed solo on the title track. Worth a listen.

Worth it for the old school unreleased stuff!

Do you mean like, it's more "music" music, where as Document was just an absurd mind blowing display of musicianship... not your easy listening for sure, sometimes you have to just turn it off and be like "woa"

Hey Randy, thanks for the news on the tracks. I cannot see how your post was negative at all. Anyway, please do not troll these boards by posting such videos.

Girls girls. You're BOTH pretty.

I listened to samples from the disc, they seemed like smooth-jazz versions of the some of their tracks from the 2001 era (played years before then I'm sure).

You can hear they all have an excellent feel. SOme cool stuff, but sort of easy listening smooth jazz stuff. Background music for when you have your girlfriend over.

Document is something totally different, live and more of my thing. I can listen to and enjoy it in any situation.
