Heh. We're playing A Day in the Life this weekend at our Pink Floyd show at the Magic Bag.

And I've really been listening to Ringo...he was really good, Happiness is a warm Gun, fantastic drumming.

Ringo and Nick could swing.

When I watch youtube videos in Google Chrome they're all messed up but Portnoy sounded fine to me on those covers. James Labrie sounded like shit as usual. I had to turn if off as soon as he started singing.

I didn't find those clips too bad.. A little off here and there.. His feel is stiff, but whatever,.. that's how he plays..
I doubt they spent much time working on the intro of time.. I like most Dream theatre songs... Until the singing starts..

At first I felt bad for liking that but it went away by the end of the video. Thumbs up!

Hi,

Please excuse the ignorance but was Dream Theater a cover band?
I never paid any attention to them, but it was my understanding that they were a prog rock band.
By the way that LP solo was sub-par.

No, they are a prog metal band but they do covers all the time. Iron Maiden, Rush, Metallica... they always do covers of the bands they like.

Oh man...if I were in the audience. Check that, I would never be in the audience.

That's so punk. Nice hat.

Teach drummers a lesson about not showing up wasted for a show (or as the story goes, two weeks worth of shows). Granted, in the real world the boss doesn't throw your monitor across your cube, but whatever-- gotta rep rock I guess...
