Resampled?... That's what he came up with?... Makes sense though sound wise.. very much like playing and electronic kit with live cymbals I suppose...

+1
even on the famous BR Memorial concert he still sounded like this, and I loved his performance on Dancin Men. Can't grasp how resampled drums could sound so........[ insert word of choice].

It's a roll of the dice how Dennis' drums will sound anytime he plays. It's a missed opportunity by him to help shape his musical identity I think, but that ship has sailed. He's still one of the greatest ever in my opinion.

He needs to play Gretsch. That acrylic snare sounded like an absolute ass****.

Dennis is a musician/drum god. His drum sound is fine. His playing is beyond untouchable. He's a great person. I love everything about his sound and playing. Dennis hits the drums extreamly hard and he doesn't use big sticks. I've seen him many times live with limited mics. He hits a million times harder than Cindy.
Re: Cindy on Dennis's drums....
I didn't watch the video or read 90% of what is written in here. Dennis is a monster player with a huge sound. He uses puny little sticks and sounds HUGE. One of the greatest ever.
I'm not a fan of Cindy. I can remember watching a video of her doing her Tony Williams impersonation and thinking "she looks like she's about to drop the stick at any mo..." Bamm! She drops the stick and does it again just a few seconds later. She may even do it a third time in the video. Good drummers don't drop their sticks.
