I know we've done this kind of thread a few times over the years but its always cool to get switched on to a few new gems so...

Following on from the top 10 drum inspiration albums thread what are your top 10 albums featuring Vinnie?

Here are mine to get the ball rolling (in no particular order.)

Patitucci - Spaceships
Karizma - Document
Mathieson, Landau, Laboriel, Colaiuta - Live at the Baked Potato
Randy Waldman - Wigged Out
Randy Waldman - Unreel
Sting - Ten Summoners Tales
Sting - Mercury Falling
Zappa - Tinseltown Rebellion
Warren Cuccorullo - Thanks 2 Frank
Nestico - Basie & Beyond

I'm sure quite a few lists will be similar but it would be good to discover some new (to me) recordings.

Gotta add Five Piece Band and Mark Egan's Truth be Told.

The Sting and Herbie stuff is cool, but I never listen to the studio versions if I have a live version available.

Waldman stuff is great and it's fun, too.

"Secret" Allan Holdsworth
"Sketchbook" John Patitucci
"Blue Tav" Steve Tavaglione
"Vinnie Colaiuta"
"The Works" Nik Kershaw

"Nightwalker" Gino Vanelli
"Joe's Garage" Frank Zappa
"Ten Summoners's Tales" Sting
"Touch" Bill Evans
"Surfacing" John Beasley

Damn, Eric Marienthal "Crossroads" and Jeff Beal "Three Graces" are there too !!!

In my taste I saw some album where the drumming INCREDIBLE but the music does not move me, like Randy Waldman "Wigged Out" or Jazz Ministry, but to each his own I guess.
And I must say that maybe more than those album, the video of "Soul Cages Live", Buddy Rich Memorial" and Zildjian Days (with Tim Landers on bass), to this day those video are for me still on the top of Vinnie's mountain.
