This is some of my favorite Scofield stuff. The originals were so full of Deitch's awesomeness. Cato sounds like he gets the material here. Not sure I get what Scofield's always doing, but it's groovy as hell.

Scofield is similar to Miles Davis for me. Miles wasn't my favorite trumpet player, as Sco isn't my favorite guitarist (though I do quite like both of those guys), but you know for sure that their bands were/are always going to be killing. Particularly drum-wise. Scofield is one of the few artists whose albums I will buy totally blind. He consistently puts out excellent music.
Moderation's all well and good, just don't overdo it.
