Must be good, because the top comments at other forums would appear to be "Want!"

They sound, from the clips on the previous page, like SC's without the dark.

Yeah don't know what to make of that press conference. I don't know if that kind of setting would best promote cymbals. No drum set or musical context I mean. That whole was kind of odd.

The ride seems very washy to me.. Sounds like it would be loud as well.... Nice tone though...

They sound kinda cool, but it's hard to judge both out of context and for a youtube video. So far, ot me, they seem not as sweet in the top as the A Customs and despite that they also seem to cut through less.

I don't have enough experience to talk about consistency of Zildjians. All I know is that I like my A Customs and also the K Constantinoples I have at work. Add in a couple more rides and splashes and it seems to be a recipe that covers everything well.

Vinnie loves the word "transparent".

I wasn't blown away by that ride when he hit it - kinda pingy and higher pitched than I like, but probably has to be to cut in a musical environment - something not presented here - I do like the fact that the stick sound didn't get overpowered by the wash when he was really laying into it. I like that they're darker than the A Customs -

One thing I'm learning with cymbals is that the ones that don't necessarily sound good by themselves, tend to sound way better with music. I love dark cymbals, but they get lost in the mix - but by themselves - WOW. Brighter cymbals are harsh by themselves, but in a musical context, you hear them. I hate over powering crash attack and stick on the ride. The Modern Essentials intrigue me for sure.

Hah I forgot about that Zildjian video. I think the cymbals sound better in there than anything with the Paiste's I've heard thus far. I do apreciate the pasite sound they're going for though. It does sound good.
