Wow, I'm thoroughly impressed with this guy. If anybody keeps up with the progressive metal scene, you're already familiar with Animals as Leaders. Matt is their new drummer, and he's totally killing. Powerful, yet relaxed, good feel. ;)

Matt's a beast. He's bringing upper echelon style drumming to the rock / metal scene. He's not just someone who has mastered the rock game, as Steve says. He plays it all, and has some of the most ferocious chops around. Drummer's drummer facility and chops.

There's a whole other scene coming with these guys. Interesting stuff.

Yeah man, I saw this band back in May opening up for Thrice in Austin. Great show- Matt nails this gig.

I really like how Matt along with guys like Alex Rudinger and Travis Orbin are pushing themselves
all the time and really showing great technique and facility on the drums.

It seems a little too worked out for my liking, it doesn't feel like anything is being develo[ed in the moment and certainly no improvisation. but of course for what it is it seems well played.

I like 'em. It turns out they're supporting Meshuggah this Friday in Sacramento. I happen to be sharing a bit of father-son headbanging that evening and hadn't heard of them before. Thanks for the heads up.

Wow. That will be an intense night of drumming. Meshuggah is the heaviest music I can listen to. They're great.

Good drummer, but that music is a bit monotonous, literally.

Guys, change the click, please. It's ok to have tempo changes and song structure.

Honestly I hate it when people try to touch something that's untouchable. That guy is the best he can be and that's enough for me. I get his groove and ideas I just perrsonally wouldn't go for that drum sound but it could be the recording...
