I've been playing guitar for a year and I'm totally into Satraini right now.
He's a great composer. Now add Vinnie and OMG...can't wait!

Why, so you can tune out the music and listen to the drums? Why don't you buy music you like first, then worry about the drummer.

I believe that drums ARE part of the music, and they affect the feel and the sound of the whole ensemble. I´m curious to hear Vinnie in such setting and that´s why I´m looking foward to hear this... Plus it´s been a while since I heard Satriani and I´m open to a suprise...

I think Satriani "reels in" his musicians a little too much...everything is really controlled and I believe it affects his music in a bad way. The music sounds sterile to me.

There are a few exceptions, but that's how I feel about JS for the most part. Of course, would love to hear Vinnie do a little of his thing on this record, but I don't think we are going to hear that.
