Rock Science

Postby Tombo 7/4 » Mon Mar 04, 2013 6:04 pm

People tell me I'’m a walking music encyclopedia. I fell on this Swedish game by luck and bought it to challenge this:

2500 questions mostly on 60s classic rock, 70s hard rock, 80s heavy metal, 90s grunge and 00s nu-rock.
I assembled a group of 5 music geek friends plus beer and we played last Friday.
Very fun game!
There are song, album, musician, anecdotes, true/false categories. Plus humming tunes; you both get points if a player recognizes the tune.
3 difficulty levels: Poser, Fan, Scientist; the more difficult the more points you get. You gotta have your Thin Lizzy chops in shape!
You can also bet on other player’s knowledge to get points. So there are different ways to advance on the board (with real Dunlop guitar picks as game pawns!).
You can also loose points if you miss an answer.
Not only the most knowledgeable player can win. We each won a game.
And there’'s a “Wanna get drunk?” version of the rules.
Cheaper on ebay:
