Sing Sing SIng, Hot For Teacher, 50 ways to leave your lover and Sunday Bloody Sunday.
I don't agree with most of the suggestions. Identity and Association are completely different. The identifying part of pretty woman is not the drum part. It's the guitar riff. The motown beat in the tune is in many songs. Now, Hot For Teacher, is identifiable by the drum intro. In Your Eyes the main drum part does not happen until the chorus, you've already identified the song by then. So that's not identifiable by the drums. If this thread was entitled great drum parts , then yes I would agree. I think the tune would need a drum intro. Even the short 1 bar intro JR plays on Rock With You is an identifiable aspect to that tune. I would put Rock With You up there to. The most identifiable part of Rule The World by Tears For Fears is the guitar riff. The drum part on it's own is great, but has been used on other tracks, yes even with the H.H accent pattern.
