Suburb playing by all. Bill Conners vibe. Like the guitar players sound and chords. Nice ideas in the soloing Steve.

Thanks Kurt! I really like Jeff's melody and solo on this tune. The bass tracks came at the very end and brought it a breath of fresh air.
Editing it was crazy with all the Picture-in-Picture stuff, I started getting OCD with the keeping the black borders around them. Keeping guitars in sync is different from drums, there's no distinctive striking of the drum to match to.
Fun and challenging all around.

Yes on the Bill Conners vibe...which i LOVE...
ala Double Up and Assembler era...great TONE
bass tone was so deep...drumming, well, keep
working the craft...

(joke)...great as always! Splash cymbals really
stood out which I never focus on, but very musical
use

How was it playing in separate rooms Steve compared to
a live session or recording at the Spud for example?

I didn't have the bass when I recorded so it was a joy hearing it added after. Recording it was a challenge due to juggling the camera work with the recording work. It takes a fair amount of effort to setup cameras in the cramped space - and I ended up with only one angle I liked (the gopro shot by the ride) - then once they're all rolling playing a take that I think is a keeper may not happen for a while so its a tedious process.

I really like Jeff's guitar solo so the energy of that was driving me pretty much. It's a fun tune! Crank the headphones and do it til it's done!

Steve...can you mix a version with the drums maxing out?
You did A LOT of sweet double bass work that was a bit
drowned out in the mix...just a drummer's mix!

Steve, love the tune! I noticed you edited the whole thing as well. I've been doing some video editing myself lately so I can appreciate how much work that must have taken. Great work sir.

Thank SP - I've always enjoyed the editing part. It's the tasks that bookend them that's a bummer. Importing footage, color correcting, etc.
Still, being a musician gives you quite an edge when editing anything music related. This one took several iterations too, our guitar player kept pointing out shots I'd missed being out of sync on him. Doh!

Were you guys playing that live? Or separately to a guide track of some kind?
